Pinewood Pallets

Pinewood pallets are one of the most popular choices in the wooden pallet industry due to their durability, light weight, and cost-effectiveness. These pallets are made from pine, a softwood known for its strength and flexibility, making it an ideal option for transporting goods of varying sizes and weights. Pinewood pallets are commonly used for domestic, export, and airworthy packaging, offering a perfect balance between affordability and reliability.

When choosing pinewood pallets, businesses often look for options that provide high load capacity without compromising on performance. Pinewood pallets are versatile and can be customized for different types of products, including fragile items and heavy machinery. Their natural ability to withstand wear and tear makes them a preferred option for industries ranging from food and beverage to electronics and automotive.

Another significant advantage of pinewood pallets is their environmental impact. As a renewable resource, pinewood is a sustainable choice for businesses seeking eco-friendly packaging solutions. Pinewood pallets are also reusable and recyclable, which reduces waste and promotes a circular economy.

Pinewood pallets are available in various sizes and designs, such as standard, block, and stringer pallets, allowing for flexibility depending on the shipping requirements. Whether used for local delivery or international export, these pallets ensure secure handling of products, reducing the risk of damage during transportation. They are an excellent choice for companies looking to maintain cost-efficiency while preserving product integrity.

Plywood Pallets

Plywood pallets are a premium solution for businesses seeking a lightweight, durable, and customizable option for transporting goods. Constructed from plywood sheets, these pallets offer exceptional strength and stability, making them a popular choice for industries requiring reliable packaging for both domestic and international shipments.

One of the primary advantages of plywood pallets is their lightweight nature. They are easier to handle compared to solid wood pallets, reducing labor costs and minimizing the risk of injury. Despite their light weight, plywood pallets maintain high load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for a wide range of products, including heavy machinery, electronics, and perishable goods.

Plywood pallets are also known for their durability. Unlike traditional wood pallets, plywood is resistant to cracking and splintering, providing a longer lifespan and a smoother surface for product handling. This quality ensures that the goods remain intact during transportation, reducing the likelihood of damage.

Plywood pallets are highly customizable and can be made to fit the specific dimensions and requirements of your business. They are available in various designs, including standard and custom-built pallets, allowing companies to tailor their packaging needs. The ability to stack and store plywood pallets efficiently further adds to their appeal in warehouse management.

Additionally, plywood is a sustainable material, making plywood pallets an eco-friendly option for businesses committed to reducing their environmental impact. These pallets are also recyclable, contributing to a greener supply chain. With their strength, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, plywood pallets are an ideal choice for companies seeking high-quality, reusable packaging solutions.

Country Wood Pallets

Country wood pallets are an economical and robust choice for businesses needing reliable shipping solutions. These pallets are typically crafted from a mix of hardwood and softwood, sourced from local forests, making them a sustainable and affordable option for industries worldwide. The combination of strength and versatility makes country wood pallets ideal for both domestic and international shipping needs.

One of the key benefits of country wood pallets is their ability to handle heavy and bulky items without compromising structural integrity. They are often used in industries like construction, automotive, and agriculture, where products require sturdy support during transportation. Country wood pallets are known for their natural resilience and can endure rough handling and challenging conditions.

The affordability of country wood pallets makes them a popular choice among small and medium-sized businesses. They offer excellent value for money while providing reliable support for your goods. Moreover, country wood pallets are reusable, which adds to their cost-effectiveness over time. Their design can be customized to meet specific shipping requirements, allowing businesses to optimize their logistics processes.

Environmentally conscious companies also appreciate the sustainability of country wood pallets. Made from locally sourced materials, these pallets reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation. They are also recyclable, contributing to a circular economy.

Country wood pallets are available in various sizes and designs, allowing for flexibility depending on the product’s nature and shipping requirements. Whether used for local deliveries or export shipments, these pallets offer a solid, eco-friendly, and cost-effective solution for transporting goods.

Our Standard Types of Pallets

Wooden pallets are widely used and primarily constructed in the five models outlined below. While the 800 x 1200 mm wooden pallet is the most commonly used size, other popular standard dimensions include 1000 x 1200 mm and 1200 x 1200 mm pallets. In the consumer goods distribution sector, 600 x 800 mm pallets, also known as half pallets due to being half the size of a Euro pallet, are frequently utilized based on the load type.

This is the most widely used model and the only one that can be interchangeably used in all storage systems, provided that its skids (the lower supports that bear the flat platform where the load rests) are positioned perpendicular to the beams of the racking units, support rails, or roller conveyors, as demonstrated in the illustration below:

In each case, they must be handled using the side that allows this (refer to the illustration above):

Image B: Storage in drive-in pallet racks, push-back with trolleys, and Pallet Shuttle systems. Cross-ties are required for pallets in pallet racking units.
Any type of forklift or pallet handling equipment can easily manage these pallets. They are ideal for automated warehouses.

The only precaution to take when using them is to ensure they meet the appropriate quality standards. A European standard defines how they should be produced. Pallets that comply with these standards are called europallets (see below).

Every 800 x 1200 mm wooden pallets are not europallets. Europallets are marked with a circular logo containing the letters EUR inside.

Pallets with mesurements 1000 x 1200 mm and 1200 x 1200 mm, produced in line with europallet specifications and quality referred as europallet type.

These pallets are widely utilized in some countries, especially the 1,000 x 1,200 mm size. They can be put away on pallet racks, drive-in pallet racks, trolley push-back, and Pallet Shuttle racking units. In any case, they may display challenges in gravity-operated systems and roller push-back systems. They are not ideal for use with stacker cranes or respective forklifts unless lifted by the lower part (the bases connecting the skids). Moreover, they are unsuitable for handling with stackers and are not the best choice for automated roller conveyors, with automated chain conveyors being a better option.

These can be stored on pallet racks, drive-in racks, trolley push-back systems, and pallet racking units. However, they are not suitable for use in gravity-fed or roller push-back systems.

When stored on pallet racking units, attention must be paid to the edges, as the two situations outlined below may arise. These scenarios are completely unacceptable, as they jeopardize both the safety and reliability of the facility and the load.

These platforms, also known as half-pallets, are half the size of an 800 x 1,200 mm pallet and are commonly used in the consumer product distribution sector, as they allow for the distribution of optimal quantities for sale. Their compact size makes them ideal for handling at points of sale, such as supermarkets. They are equivalent to half a europallet. When stored in pallet racking units, cross ties or a support surface must be placed on the beams. Only 5A pallets can be stored in flow racking units, though with certain limitations. For other applications, they should be placed in pairs on standard 800 x 1,200 mm europallets, referred to as slave pallets. Any forklift can handle them without restrictions, though the size of the forks must be considered. Unless used with slave pallets, automated conveyors must be specially designed to move these pallets, either by having more rollers than standard conveyors or using four chains..

Other Type of Wooden Pallets

The five types of wooden pallets mentioned earlier are the most commonly used but not the only ones available. Various standards have been developed to establish internationally recognized criteria for dimensions, shapes, types of wood, nails, and more. The europallet is one such standardized product, as will be discussed later. However, some pallets do not adhere to these standards, even if their external dimensions are similar to those of a europallet. These pallets may lack the required strength and durability. Additionally, there are numerous other formats beyond types 1, 2, and 3, differing in both size and construction. Such pallets can create challenges when stored on racking units or handled with standard equipment, often necessitating specific handling and additional components for racking systems. Extra caution is needed with so-called “single-use” or disposable pallets, as their standard dimensions may be paired with wood of insufficient thickness or quality, making them unsuitable for direct use on racking units.
